When I came back from holiday, I thought I’d have a bash at the “34 Shot Film Photography Scavenger Hunt” that I found on the Casual Photophile site. I decided to use my Canon AE-1 Program, with it’s 50mm f1.8, and a roll of Color Plus 200, nice and simple! I downloaded the “clues” andContinue reading “Photographic Scavenger Hunt”

Rollei 35B
I have recently been having a clear out, 6 or 7 cameras have left my possession, some books, CD’s, – clothes are the next thing to edit! I’ve also been more selective of the cameras that have been incoming over the last 6 months, I have plenty after all! One that I did let throughContinue reading “Rollei 35B”
Autumn with the Canon AE-1
Autumn seems a long time ago now. I had a film in my Canon AE-1 Program, which I’ve just finished off, one of the troubles of owning too many cameras! In this case it was a Kodak colour plus. I had made a short walk around the neighbourhood, to capture some of the colours, whichContinue reading “Autumn with the Canon AE-1”
Wroxeter with the ME Super
Wroxeter in Shropshire was in roman times the 4th largest city in Britain. It’s under the care of English Heritage these days, and since I was in the neighbourhood I had to pay it a visit. The tallest part of the site is know as “The Old Work” and is a 7 meter tall chunkContinue reading “Wroxeter with the ME Super”
Tatton Park Mansion
You can see from the threatening cloud in the image above, that my visit to Tatton Park was during mixed weather! I made that photo while the sun was out, minutes later it was raining and time to be inside! The mansion took an earlier house, added, extended and remodelled it between 1780 and 1813.Continue reading “Tatton Park Mansion”
Gardens at Tatton
The “cultivated” gardens at Totton cover about 50 acres. Entrance is via the walled kitchen garden pictured above. By this point my black and white had run out and I’d loaded a roll of Kodak Color Plus 200 into my F3. I’m guessing that the heyday of this part of the garden was Edwardian times,Continue reading “Gardens at Tatton”
Wirral, Chickens and Beluga
My last holiday was near Liverpool (in case you missed the last multitude of posts!). I stayed in a holiday let on the Wirral. I was sceptical of it being a good spot for a holiday. As it turned out, it was one of the best I’ve had in the UK! I loved Liverpool. TheContinue reading “Wirral, Chickens and Beluga”
Tatton Park Lorry
Tatton Park is in Cheshire, just north of Knutsford, drive about 13 miles up the M56 would see you in the centre of Manchester. I arrived mid morning with a partly used FP4 in my Nikon F3, ready to go. Cars have to pay to enter the park but once inside, as a member ofContinue reading “Tatton Park Lorry”
Walker Art Gallery
I do enjoy a wander around an art gallery. I find it gives the visual side of my brain a work out! The “Walker” was no exception. My taste in art is pretty random. I like some modern art, the stuff that makes me think, not the famous pile of bricks type. I like aContinue reading “Walker Art Gallery”
The Last of Liverpool
During my trip “up north”, I ended up using quite a bit of film in my Nikon F3. I also took along my Pentax ME Super, with the idea of running colour in that camera and B/W in the F3. Well that plan lasted for a couple of days, but soon faded! I enjoyed usingContinue reading “The Last of Liverpool”
