I recently re-watched a documentary about Harold Feinstein, I’d seen it before some time back, but long enough ago for it to be reasonably fresh to me. If you don’t know his work, can I suggest spending half an hour on the net, would be time well spent. I find his photography to be wonderful.Continue reading “G.A.S. and all that jazz!”

The Source of the Winterborne
For those of you who have been following this little journey. I used my roll of Kodak Ektachrome E100 in my Canon EOS30 with the 40mm STM attached…. This is the 3rd and final part… Winterborne Stickland .. Is also recorded in the Domesday book. These days, has a population of around 600. The churchContinue reading “The Source of the Winterborne”
Cars on show
As I’ve already posted, I shot 3 rolls of Pan-F Plus at the recent Pilford Heath Transport Show. I’ve already shared most of the images from those three films that I liked. I did shoot one roll of colour while I was there, an out of date Fuji C200 from 2016. I used it up,Continue reading “Cars on show”
Kodak E100 Goes Winterborne Pt2
Last week I wrote about how I used my roll of “new” Ektachrome, tracing the route of the little river Winterborne. You can read that first post here. This post picks up the story as we arrive in the next village – Winterborne Kingston. At the time I arrived at the church, we were atContinue reading “Kodak E100 Goes Winterborne Pt2”
Caren Hartley-Bicycle
An unusual post from me today for two reasons, I rarely make a post with just one photograph, and if I do, it’s rarely a digital one. Before Covid, I went to Mottisfont, just north of Romsey. It’s a National Trust house. My visit coincided with a exhibition of “craft”. One of the exhibits containedContinue reading “Caren Hartley-Bicycle”
Canon AE-1 Program
The Canon AE-1 Program(me), is a classic camera by any standard. Released by Canon in 1981, it built on the success of the earlier AE-1 by adding a programme exposure mode. Mine has the 50mm f1.8 lens mounted and along with it’s 6v (KS28) battery, weighs in at just 565g. In the said programme modeContinue reading “Canon AE-1 Program”
Kodak E100 goes Winterborne
The Film and Camera: Having purchased a roll of Kodaks “new” Ektachrome E100, it sat in my film cupboard waiting for use. A month or so ago it finally got used up. It took much longer to get processed in the E6 chemistry than it normally takes the lab to dev my C41. It hasContinue reading “Kodak E100 goes Winterborne”
The Last of Pilford
I think this little collection of images will be the last black and white that I post from my visit to Pilford Heath Transport and Heritage Show (Pilford on Ilford). I do have some colour car images left to share. The car above is a Jaguar MkII from 1959, and is owned by M.Nicholls inContinue reading “The Last of Pilford”
Kodak Ektachrome E100
When Kodak announced to the world it was bringing back Ektachrome in 2018, I was very pleased. I used quite a lot in the 80’s, eventually changing over to Kodachrome, which I used for much longer. With the demise of Kodachrome I swapped over to Fuji Sensia. As soon as it was made available IContinue reading “Kodak Ektachrome E100”
Tractors!
Not something I photograph everyday – although Dorset, my home county is quite rural. Rectangular images on this post (as above) were taken with my EOS 30, while the square images were made using my Rolleicord Va, all were made on Ilford Pan-F Plus. Below is what I believe to be a Field Marshall 3A,Continue reading “Tractors!”
