Old Wardour Castle

I took the Hasselblad to Old Wardour Castle, which dates to the 1390’s and although now ruined, enough of it stands to make a visit worthwhile. Perhaps best known as being the ancestral home of Kevin Costner in Robin Hood Prince of Thieves, his father of course being Brian Blessed. In case you were wondering there is a “new” Wardour Castle – just across the estate, it was a Private School for Girls, now private apartments.

This was a roll of Ilford FP4 developed in Barry Thornton Metol Two Bath. It’s another good combination although I have to say, good old FP4 seems to do well in just about anything!
