Osbourne House

Back on the Ilse of Wight, I had loaded a roll of Kodak Gold 200 into my second Canon EOS 30 body. The sun was out, and it was a pleasant warm spring day. Osbourne House was built by Queen Victoria between 1845-51, on the site of an older house. It was to be her “Summer Palace” and rural retreat. It sits at the top of a valley that runs down to the sea and a private beach, and has large grounds. It was designed by Albert in a pretty obvious Italian design.

Within the grounds there is also a “Swiss Cottage” and as already mentioned a walk down the valley to a private beach.

I have made more photo’s in B/W so more detail/story of Osbourne House to follow!
