The end of my last post about Teignmouth found me at the end of the pier, losing £1’s worth of 2ps in an arcade machine. I won a few back, but then fed them into the greedy machine, so I left no richer than when I arrived, not that I expected to! I continued on.Continue reading “Teignmouth #2”

Teignmouth #1
I took the motorhome down to Teignmouth, parked up, and made the post you saw a couple of posts ago with the phone. You can see it in the middle of the image above. I did of course take a “proper” camera with me, my Canon EOS 30, with the 40mm STM pancake lens attached.Continue reading “Teignmouth #1”
To Cockwood Harbour
I’ve been on a short break! I took the Motorhome on it’s maiden voyage, about 100 miles, down into Devon, to the small village of Cofton. I’m sure you won’t have heard of Cofton, but you may have heard of it’s neighbour – Dawlish. I got to the campsite at about 4pm, figured out theContinue reading “To Cockwood Harbour”
Single Photo: Kent
We all like a photo of a door with peeling paint – this may be the ultimate! There is a preserved railway in Kent, the Kent & East Sussex Railway, that runs from Tenterden to Bodiam Castle. It’s a 10.5 mile ride on a good old steam train and makes for a great day out.Continue reading “Single Photo: Kent”
More from Bournemouth
A couple of posts back I shared some photo’s I made on a lovely summer day – a photo walk along Bournemouth promenade. This is sort of a “Part-2 the walk back”! Chatter: Pentax ME Super with the 40mm pancake lens. 26 year out-of-date Ilford FP4 Movie Film, developed in D23.
Last day of Summer?
Last week, on my day off, I drove the short distance into Bournemouth, parked up and had a photo walk. I park near the top of a chine, and walk down to the beach. All along the seafront promenade until I reach the pier then turn around and walk back, unless I need to walkContinue reading “Last day of Summer?”
Agfa APX in Poole
I believe that the “new” Agfa APX100 is the same as Kentmere 100. Question: Have you ever come across a supplier that offers both? Not that it matters any, it’s a couple of pounds cheaper than FP4, so if I ever get to the point where I need to reduce my film costs, I’ll beContinue reading “Agfa APX in Poole”
West Moors Bunker
I live quite close to West Moors Country Park. It’s great for a walk, the route I do is about two miles. Even better, it’s tarmacked for most of the route, making it good for a walk even if it’s been wet. There is a small scale railway – I’m not sure what scale itContinue reading “West Moors Bunker”
Nepal: More Black and White
Continuing on from my last post, here are a few more from my black and white images I made while in Nepal. The film was FP4+. Most of the photo’s here were made in Bhaktapur, it’s a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and although it’s the smallest city in Nepal it’s also the most densely populated!Continue reading “Nepal: More Black and White”
Nepal: A Country in the Clouds
When I was young there were two places in the world I wanted to visit. The first was New York. I’ll write about that another time, let’s just say for now I was on the train going there, when a chemical plant caught fire in Buffalo, flames drifted across the tracks, halted the train andContinue reading “Nepal: A Country in the Clouds”
