A few more images from my first roll of film this year. Still suspicious of the shutter in my Pentax ME Super, I took it for a walk around Poole. It was a lovely sunny day with literally not a cloud in the sky. All seems well with it, again all the images came outContinue reading “Pentax ME Super Goes Poole”

Seeing Red!
Harman are at it again! Another film, they are calling their “first true creative film”. As you can see it’s Redscale. My understanding is that this is simply shooting through the “back” (non-emulsion) side of the film, thus hitting the red layer first, and almost blocking the blue and green layers. Like Phoenix, this isContinue reading “Seeing Red!”
First roll of the year!
Photographically I’ve had a slow start to the year, in fact my first roll of film, although started in January, I’ve only just used up and developed in early February. Almost un-heard of for me. I had to go to the local town of Wimborne for an appointment, so decided as it had been aContinue reading “First roll of the year!”
India: Memory Lane with FP4 #2
A while ago I shared a few photo’s made while I was in India. While there, I also went to Jaipur and to Benares (Varanasi) – the only place on the Ganges where the river turns so that one can view sunrise. Of course one morning I awoke uncharacteristically early, set of in a madContinue reading “India: Memory Lane with FP4 #2”
Swanage Railway Wide!
Once upon a time when Agfa Vista was £1 a roll in Poundland, (in fact when anything was still £1 in Poundland – but don’t get me started on that!) and before the Pentax ME Super was serviced, I made a visit to the Swanage Steam Railway. Back then I was also into the ideaContinue reading “Swanage Railway Wide!”
India: Memory Lane with FP4
Way back in 1999 I took a trip to India. I exposed much film while I was there but only 3 rolls of black and white – looking back I wish I’d made more b/w images, but that said, India is, if anything – colourful! I wasn’t due to go to there, it was allContinue reading “India: Memory Lane with FP4”
Exercising the Spotmatic
A couple of weeks ago, just before Christmas, I needed to pop into the local town of Ringwood. It’s the opposite direction to my usual route, so although it’s close by I don’t go there that often. I thought I’d take the good old Pentax Spotmatic for a day out and make a few exposuresContinue reading “Exercising the Spotmatic”
Leica goes to Mudeford
Mudeford (pronounced Muddyford), is in the far east of Dorset, less than 2 km from the end of the sea wall is the Hampshire border. The quayside is at the entrance to Christchurch Harbour – I’ve visited the “other side” many times, you can read the post where I messed up a roll in theContinue reading “Leica goes to Mudeford”
More from the Fuji
Just before Christmas the building in the middle distance burned to the ground. The one with the charred beams leaning out over the street was the the Gorge Café on Dorchester’s South Street. It was a land mark for many, some as a café – I can remember going in as kid, when we visitedContinue reading “More from the Fuji”
Fujica Compact 35
I haven’t been enthused about trying any new cameras recently, in fact I’ve been more in the mind of using what I know and really getting to know it better. A few weeks ago however I was gifted a Fujica Compact 35, and that broke the mould and made me want to try it out.Continue reading “Fujica Compact 35”
