Exactly 5 years ago today I published the first post on this blog! I’d thought about a blog for a while but had just never gotten around to it! Over the years many projects, hobbies and interests have come and gone – few have lasted with the exception of film-making and photography. No one is more surprised than me that there are currently 761 posts to read here. I’ve actually written a few more, but some have been deleted. The viewing, visitor and comment numbers have grown steadily year on year, although that’s always nice, it’s not really what drives me. This year however there seems to be a bit of a jump! Very rewarding.
All good things come to and end, and no doubt this will too at some point, but not for a long while yet I hope. I’ve signed on with WordPress for another year – I have a few ideas that I hope will keep things going along, and of course lots more to share.
I really want to take this opportunity to thank those of you who found me early on and stuck around, those who have subscribed, and those who visit in a random way. No matter how you visit, I am very grateful for your time and I hope you enjoy the content here as much as I enjoy creating it. In many cases it’s not been the photography supporting the blog, rather the blog spurring me on to go out and do some photography! Thank you one and all and heres to the next year of S.H.O.U.T.!
