Just around the corner from Dimbola Lodge is St. Agnes Church, the only thatched church on the island. I think the fact it is thatched makes it look old bordering on ancient, in fact it was only built in 1908. This “old look” is helped by the fact that a lot of the stone is re-cycled from an old farmhouse nearby, that was the birthplace of Robert Hooke in 1635.
