Leaving Lymington

Lymington is a smallish town on the south-coast of the UK, about half way along, close to Southampton. It’s also one of the departure points for a car ferry to the Isle of Wight, and the closest to where I live. I’ve recently spent a week on the Island, so prepare for a series of posts! I took with me a pair of Canon EOS 30’s and a couple of lenses. Most of the time I used one body with the 40mm STM. The one I think I’ve worn out! Above is the “bandstand” at Lymington. Unusually, despite the fact it’s a port there isn’t really any sea front as such, more a short piece of riverside. From here one can watch the ferry come and go. The photo below was taken from the area to the right of the photo above. The ferry is in the background.

Above, park looking at ferry / below ferry looking at park…..

That’s it – departure, a beautiful, bright day, if a little cold and the start of a week of photography. There was a period in my history when I went to the Island quite a bit, It must be 25 years now since I last went – what will I remember?

All these photo’s are from a roll of Ilford Delta 100 developed in FX21 – a pretty good combination I think.
