Nearly contre-jour!

From the same canon as “slightly pregnant” or “fairly unique” I offer you “nearly contre-jour”! A couple of weeks ago I was in a church yard, it was a beautiful day the sun was pouring onto the south facing wall of the church – almost too much light! It wasn’t the peaceful idyl it could have been as the grass was being cut and a lot of noise was being made in the process. I turned and this tombstone appeared to be almost glowing in the sunlight. The sun was falling on the face, but the (nearly) contre-jour effect was helped by the fact there were dark yew trees behind. I wondered how the Takumar 55mm lens would cope, and of course it did easily!

Chatter: Pentax Spotmatic, with 55mm Takumar, FP4 developed in FX55
