About 30 years ago my parents and I rented a holiday home for a week, in a small town called Shaldon, down on the south coast of Devon. This looks over a wide harbour, the other side of which, lies the town on Teignmouth. I’ve been here several times, and always liked the place. At the far end of Teignmouth seafront is a car park, I’ve sat there in a car more than once before, enjoying the view and dreaming to myself – wouldn’t it be lovely to have a camper and sit here…. That dream has become a reality and I’m sat here doing that very thing!

One tick off the bucket list! The weather was awful for the last couple of days, but the morning of this day was bright and sunny. I had to “pack down” everything to move the motor home, as I needed to drain the “waste water” (100% Full), first time of doing that. I also needed to empty out the “poo cassette”, the little warning light hadn’t come on, but I think it was about to! First time in doing that too! Oh the joys!! Whilst I was in motion (pun intended) I thought I’d keep going the 6 or 7 miles into Teignmouth! Went for a nice walk along the sea front, made a few film images – they will follow in due course. After a couple of hours I got back to the van and had a cheese sandwich, feet up, watching the tide come in – lovely!
