Blue Sky!

A nice bright sunny morning combined with a day off has been a rarity in recent times. I had to make the most of it so jumped in the car and drove the short distance to Kingston Lacy, our local National Trust property. February is always busy as it’s “Snowdrop Time”. This year I missed that due to weather. It takes about an hour or so to wander around the gardens at a pleasurable plod. As nice as the house is, and it is nice, I’m not really a “house person” so hardly ever go in. I took my little used Fuji X-T5 with the XF18-55mm along for the walk.

Although the snow drops had gone, the Daffodils were giving a good display. The walled veg garden is pretty empty this time of the year, but covering one of the buildings is a giant pear or apple tree, look at that trunk! I wonder how old it is!

I spent a lovely hour wandering about enjoying the sun on my back. It was good to see some open space, colour and get some fresh air again – I feel better for it!

Almost back to the car, a view over the car park speaks for it’s self how important these places are to peoples well being.

Chatter: Fuji X-T5 with XF 18-55mm. 400ISO, Velvia Colour Palette.
