A couple of weekends ago I had a weekend away with my brother and sister in law. They had rented a rather nice apartment, overlooking Bournemouth bay. It was more of a catch up with each other, type of break rather than a “lets go out and about”, but there was time to make a few images. I loaded a roll of Kodak’s Tri-X into my “new to me” Leica M4-P, and set off to use it for the first time!

Saturday morning was one of those exceptional days this winter. The sun was out and it was warm, more like a nice April day than February. We walked a short distance along the cliff top to a small building that looked rather unpromising from the outside, in fact it looked a little like a public toilet, as no one was sat outside nor were there any chairs and tables set out. This was February after all, but I suspect summertime is bustling. Inside was a totally different story, it was nice and cosy, terrific views and a superb breakfast! Feeling fit to take on the world, we walked down to the beach where I made a couple more photo’s.

Back at the apartment I sat in the rather comfy chair enjoying the sun pouring through the window, and watching a paraglider floating up and down (and I clicked at almost the ideal moment!).

Chatter: Leica M4-P, Zeiss 35mm lens, with Kodak Tri-X.
