Happy New Year everyone!
I was up till 2am this morning seeing in the new year in style. Somewhat surprisingly I was up at 9 and showered! The start of a new year often gives me a burst of enthusiasm to get things done and put more effort in. It has often waned by the end of January, but such is life!
Over Christmas my back has been playing up, so I never got much done, other than sit and eat! That seems to be sorting itself out, but I really must get fitter and healthier this coming year. I weighed myself this morning, and I’m not actually the heaviest I’ve ever been, I feel it, and am certainly overweight. More important though is that I feel myself getting less agile, creaking a bit more, stiffening up and so on. It’s high time I did something about that! Healthier eating and more exercise, out and about more with a camera is needed!!

I’m pleased that this blog continues to grow. The actual figures don’t really matter to me that much, I realise that my blog is small-fry compared to many, that said I’m pleased that it’s going in the right direction and growing. Of course I’d like it to grow more, and will work towards that – perhaps you’d recommend it to an analogue friend?? What I do like very much, and gives me a real buzz is where people are visiting from, sometimes only a handful of visits but from so many counties! I love that!

Secretly I’m quite happy that my home country is number 5 in the list!! I’m also pleased that the top three are all countries that I’ve visited more than once, and have a great affection for. As an aside I watched the first part of a new BBC series last night “Wild Scandinavia”, as stunning as I expected – and the photography – wow, just wow! My feet are certainly itching to get myself back to that beautiful and wonderous part of the world again!
Well, thank-you for visiting, commenting and reading this last year – I hope you continue to enjoy my ramblings. I wish you a very happy and peaceful new year, full of joy and plenty of new adventures!!
