What is a “Sang”? What is Kodak Pro Image 100 like? I visit one to find out! Having never tried this film I purchased a roll a while back, it sat in my “film to use” box and finally I’ve gotten around to using it! Apparently it’s been manufactured by Kodak since 1997 (Analogue Wonderland),Continue reading “Kodak Pro Image 100: One Roll Try”

A few more from Bristol
Back at Easter I had a day trip to Bristol, it didn’t quite go to plan, I walked to Bristol Cameras, only to find them closed. Before I left I had discovered that the Cathedral was closed for the day, or rather I would be there about half an hour after it had closed havingContinue reading “A few more from Bristol”
Pentax Auto 110 (1978)
When you say 110 to most people, they think of very cheap, poor performance plastic cameras, with a flash one end, and a viewfinder the other. I had one of those back in the day, I still had it when I had progressed to the Zenith 11. I know this as I made a photoContinue reading “Pentax Auto 110 (1978)”
Ektar in the Zeiss Ikon
It’s been a while since I used any film in my Zeiss Ikon 517/16. I loaded up a roll of Kodak Ektar and set off on a glorious sunny day, for a walk around the local town of Wimborne Minster. No purpose other than to have a walk and make 12 images! I did discoverContinue reading “Ektar in the Zeiss Ikon”
Developing 110
There are certain times when I’m in mid flow doing something and I think to myself “why ever did I start this”? Going back about 4 weeks, I ordered amongst other things, a roll of Lomography Orca B/W 110 film from Analogue Wonderland. I see that it’s made in Chechia so I’m assuming it’s actuallyContinue reading “Developing 110”
Canon FT QL (1966)
The Canon FTQL was released in March 1966, as such is 3 years older than me! I wish I was in such good condition! They were offered with a choice of three different lenses. The fist option was 50mm f1.8, (as seen here), a 50mm f1.4 and a 55mm f1.2 (not 58mm as Wiki suggests!).Continue reading “Canon FT QL (1966)”
Cars, Cameras and Classics
A few things have come together over the last couple of weeks that have got me thinking. So this is one of those “Andy Thinks” posts – so beware! Cameras are like cars! Occasionally I walk past a parked car that is in terrible condition, and I wonder how it’s got through it’s MOT, forContinue reading “Cars, Cameras and Classics”
Camera Review Page Updated!
Recently I’ve tried and written about several film cameras. There has been bit of a hiatus and I’m not at an end yet, in fact far from it! I have however up-dated the Camera Review Page, so that anyone who wishes, can get straight to the cameras!
Kentmere 100 in 120
Today I’m posting a few more frames from my first roll of Kentmere 100, in the 120 format. I found quite a bit to like. Although this roll was free to me – it’s 20% cheaper than FP4 (according to today’s price at Analogue Wonderland), these day’s that’s not to be sniffed at. I alsoContinue reading “Kentmere 100 in 120”
Single Photo: Pine Tree Stump
Just north of Wareham in Dorset is the Morden Bog National Nature Reserve. On the other side of Morden Road is a Forestry Commission Managed Forest. Of course what that means is that there are patches of young trees, older trees and stumps where trees once stood and have been harvested. The stump above wasContinue reading “Single Photo: Pine Tree Stump”
