Sitting in the River Avon in Warwick is this chunk of Old Castle Bridge, a medieval, 14th century bridge that was partly demolished, just to create a romantic folly. There were originally 11 arches. The “new” bridge was build a little up-stream in the 1780’s. Snapped with my Canon EOS 30 with the 40mm STM, on Ilford HP5 which was then developed in D23. When I saw the scene the river was running brown with silt, I imagined a print that was sepia, something I’m not particularly into normally, I prefer black and white with decent contrast. If I ever get around to printing this I would make a softer sepia print, hence the look of this one!
