Single Photo: Roman Source

Last time I wrote about the Roman villa uncovered and preserved in Dorchester. In this “single photo” post I’ve chosen a fountain near the centre of town. It’s entirely new, but commemorates the spot “close to where” the roman well once stood. You may spot on the far left in the background the house is a much older structure than it’s neighbour. This was once part of the old hospital, where, 50 odd years ago I had a hernia operation!
