Single Photo: Old Poole

There is a walking heritage trail around Poole, known as the Cockle Trail. The image above is Market Steet. Just off to the right of the image is the Guildhall. This row of Georgian houses have been restored and cared for in recent times. To the left of the “Grain and Seed Merchants” is “The Old School House”. Both are noted in the trail. It wouldn’t take much to “dress” the view to film a period movie. I made this image on Ilford’s Delta 100, just the right film to capture the detail on a sunny day. That detail in the negative, as opposed to this reasonably low rez scan, is amazing. That is also due to the excellent Olympus Zukio 50mm lens. I developed the film in Crawley’s FX55, which is a “sharp” developer to match.
