Colour at the steam fair

While I was at the steam fair I also used a roll of colour film, Portra 160. Everyone seems to rave about Portra 400, and it’s good, if expensive. I suspect that maybe because it has a very wide latitude. I however, think I prefer the 160. This particular roll was purchased from (they had an offer on!) and developed by Analogue Wonderland.

It was a very hot day, and of course if you are going to have steam, there is going to be fire and hot metal adding to the heat! Luckily there was a beer tent! Unlike the last couple of events like this I have attended, there was more steam actually in action. I’ve been told more than once that the price of coal is now high, and it gets more and more difficult to afford to fire them up!

As the photo below shows, there were both big full size engines and smaller ones too. I’d had a great day out and enjoyed using a couple of my cameras.
