Delta 100 in the FT2

I mentioned in my last post that I took a photo walk around Poole at the weekend. Thankfully the recent high temperatures had dropped a little and there was more air movement, so it was pleasant enough. I also mentioned recently that I treated myself to a Ilford Delta 100 “refill”, and so I shot a roll of 35mm in my Nikkormat FT2 with the 28mm F.

When I got home I ended up putting the D23 developer in the freezer for a couple of minutes to drop it’s temperature a bit. I still dropped the developing time by 20% to compensate. It could have even been a little more! I work on the basis of reducing dev time by 10% for every degree above normal.

Just before returning to the car I made one last exposure – simply as a record. Poundland store chain has recently been sold for appropriately enough £1, and it seems many stores will close -Poole has two, so it’s obvious at least one will go!
