Dawlish: Sea Wall

Once I’d finished my quick walk around the town of Dawlish, I walked along the sea wall. It’s recently been completely re-built due to storm damage, and very impressive it is! The photo above is taken from the narrow old pier that juts out into the sea (below).

From the same spot you can make out the footbridge over the railway at the station peeping above the wall (below). From this little pier the wall extends some 2km to Langstone Rock, and as one walks along it, one has trains to the left and the beach and the sea to the right – perfect!

All these images were made on the same roll of FP4+ developed in D23. It was a lovely day, and although it was well in to October by this time, it felt like May! The 125 asa was ample. One last frame was left on the roll that I used for Langstone Rock itself!
