A Walk Continued #2

Continuing on – where once was a Roman wall now are “west walks” along the west side of town. The borough gardens run parallel, always a pleasant break in a working day when the weather is nice, although I’ll admit to sitting in the band stand with my coat on and eating a sandwich, in the pursuit of a break and a bit of fresh air!

Out of the other end of the gardens and back on to West Walks, a tint fragment of the Roman Wall is preserved, with an info board to inform the visitor.

Crossing the road, a stature to Thomas Hardy is at the head of Colliton Park, and tucked away in this corner is the remains, and slightly reconstructed Roman Villa.

At this point I’m meters away from where I started part 1, and the start of the first roll – circular walk complete!
