Good Old Fuji C200

Not too long ago I was gifted a couple of rolls of Fuji C200. These, expired in Aril 2010. This is what I now refer to as “the original Fuji stuff” as opposed to the current “new Fuji C200”. If one reads the “new” box, it states made in the USA. Well Fuji don’t manufacture in the USA – but we all know who does! One can only therefor assume, that it is very close to Kodak Colour Plus 200, if not exactly the same! This however was the original stuff, which I used to like very much, it seems that the first of these rolls turned out fine. I used the accepted “trick” of allowing an extra stop of exposure for the passing decade, and all was fine.

I decided I would use my Pentax Spotmatic, with the 50mm lens. I haven’t used it since last years “Castleman Trail Walk” of many parts and I enjoyed using it again. This time, I intended to have a walk around Dorchester and use the roll. Dorchester is an old Roman town so there is a walk around the town, more or less where the original walls would have been. Turns out I got a bit snap happy – so I finished the roll half way around. I’ll return sometime soon and use the second roll on the other half! First image is of the Corn Exchange – followed by a statue of William Barnes a celebrated local poet/priest/teacher. Below a photo that combines both!

Within site is the old phone box and post box. I’ve taken to photographing these whenever I find a working one! The post box is the one I normally drop my colour 120 in for processing!

At the the side of the church is Grey School Passage, steps away from the main road, but another world!

From here I dropped down to the river – but I’ll continue that in another post!
