
I haven’t had time to scan the roll of colour film I shot at the rally, so this post is just a selection of images of quite random things that caught my eye on the day. I’m particularly pleased with the sharpness of these. That Nikon f2 35mm focusses down really close – 1 foot (.3 m) and it’s pin sharp. Not that this is always the best attribute of a lens but I think for car and vehicle photography, sharpness is good.




Neither of the two shows I visited this year are “steam fairs” but there is always something steam driven to spot. This event was more of a car rally and yet, there seemed to be more steam here than at Pilford this year.
