One of the things about the Pilford Heritage Show that I attended again this year is that not only are things on show, they are often things that are used. I made four or five shots of tractors being driven around the ring by their owners. I’m not madly excited about tractors, but then again when else am I going to be this close to a moving, working tractor!
All of these shots were made on Ilford Delta 400, and developed in Ilfosol 3, for 7 minutes at 21°. I think if I’d given 8 minutes I would have got a little more detail in the highlights, without changing the shadows much. There is another car show coming up, so if I attend that, and choose to shoot the same combo, I might see how that works.
