Every Saturday morning the old market town of Wimborne has a car boot sale. While they seem to have lost a little of their appeal of the 90’s, they remain popular for sure. This one by local standards is quite big, and as I drive past it on my way to work every Saturday, always has a load of cars already there before 8am.

I had a rare Saturday off, so I thought I’d take the little Olympus XA2 out for a “stroll with a roll”, looking to make a few photo’s as much as pick up a dream bargain camera! Well the closest I found in that department was a battered broken Pentax, so as far as camera bargains were concerned, I left with nothing – not a bad thing really!

I had a roll of Ilford FP4 in, but with the bright sun, even at that time of the day, even that may have been too fast. I assume the lens must have been well closed down, a small aperture, as I got quite a distinct vignette. Not something I’ve noticed with the XA2 before. A couple of taps of the dodge tool in photoshop saved the day!

I did buy something on my way back to the car – two 5×7 developing trays, and a measuring cylinder! It later turned out that one of the trays had a crack, so went into the recycling! Still, not bad for £1 I guess!
