Okehampton Castle in Colour

A while back I wrote a post about Okehampton Castle, and photographed it in B/W on my little Olympus XA2 on out-of-date FP4. You can re-read that here if you’d like! I also took along the Hasselblad and used, nearly a roll of colour.

I’m not sure I overly like Fuji 400 Pro. It seems very subdued colour to me. Of course quite a bit of that could be down to the processing, especially my part in it’s scanning! It may me a moot point anyway as for the last couple of years whenever I’ve looked it’s either no longer for sale or “out of stock” – I wonder if Fuji have discontinued it on the quiet.

I may try a roll of Kodak Ektar in my folding Zeiss Nettar next. It can sometimes be a bit too much colour, and hit between the eyes sometimes, but I think, if I’m going to do colour then I prefer that somehow – we’ll see!
