A week or so ago I posted a few black and white photo’s made on my visit to Hinton Ampner. I didn’t think that they were too successful, but today I received my last 3 colour films back from processing, and am much happier with those results. I tend to try and post off 3 or 4 rolls at a time for colour work to spread the cost of postage over a few films!

Hinton Ampner is a National trust property that was off my radar until last year, when I suddenly “discovered” it. It’s one of the closer properties to home! It has a very long history that reaches back to the 1540’s but what we see today, due to fire, is heavily restored 1960’s after a major remodel from 1867.

I took along my Hasselblad for the day and exposed a couple of rolls of Ektar 100, (and a few frames of Delta 100). The 80mm was the ideal lens for the day and although I had the 150mm with me, I didn’t use it.

There are some nice gardens here, but the stars of the show are the age old trees. I’ll show those in another post!

Chatter: Hasselblad 501cm with 80mm Zeiss. Ektar 100.
