I had three exposures left to use up on a roll of 120. I have a Hasselblad 501CM which, for those of you who have not used a “Hassie”, does not have a traditional filter thread. It has it’s own bayonet, mine takes the B60, the previous one I owned years ago took B50! Anyway I have a cheap adaptor from epray, to convert from B60 to 67mm.
I have a few 67mm filters so that seemed the sensible thing to get – I’m not going out and spending another fortune on filters! The B+W “filter” above is a single element lens in fact. It’s labelled NL3 (NL = Nahaufnahme Linse ??), so I’m assuming that’s what I know as a +3 dioptre. My understanding is that means in practice, if I set the lens to 1 meter focus, it will actually focus at 33cm, give or take. 1 over 3. I don’t use many filters, if any, it’s usually a yellow, but by make I seem to have settled on the B+W brand. They are German made and they are very good quality!
Anyway I set off into the garden to use up my roll!

Chatter: Hasselblad 501 CM, 80mm Zeiss lens with +3 B+W lens. Ilford Delta 100, processed in Ilfosol 1+9, at 22°ish, (due to the ambient temp!) for 5 mins.
I’m thinking the details are more interesting than the images!!
Those are very nice; especially like that last one. Never tried one of those close-up lenses with medium format, but I have at least one that fits each of my 35mm cameras.

Hello Mike! Many thanks – I think the last image is the only one I really nailed the focus properly on. When I enlarge the scans on the PC to 100% the other two are slightly off!! I liked your results with Kentmere 100 by the way – nice range of tones – I too have the same trouble with paper markings. The last Delta 100 I used in my Zeiss folder, I found I had wound on to No 3 before I knew I’d reached one. If I use it again I’ll use a loupe!! Cheers Andy.
