Just over the hill from the Valley of the Queens, lies the more famous Valley of the Kings. More famous because of one out of 65 tombs, (known so far) and that is the tomb of King Tut Ankh Amun. In case you haven’t read any of the other posts in this series, I visited with my Bronica ETRS. I’m re-scanning my negs, film by film. Spotting out dust, colour correcting, and very occasionally cropping a bit!
The image above was shot on colour, but there is an un-even colour shift across the image. It’s a shame as I like the image, so I’ve converted it to black and white, and I think that works OK.

As is well recorded, the tombs descend into either side of the valley, you’d think that there would be little to discover these days, but a further two tombs have been found since my visit, and the KV5 tomb has been discovered to have 120 chambers!

…. next time underground!!
